Country supplement: Canada

Last updated: 2 November 2026

For review by lawyer. This is a draft that describes what EaglesEntry does today. It is published so the structure and wording can be reviewed; it is not yet approved by counsel. Notes marked “For review by lawyer” show where counsel’s input decides the text.

For review by lawyer. Canada edition. A Canada supplement to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement applies, including local data-transfer notices and your complaint route.

How the User Agreement and Privacy Policy apply to members who live in Canada. Your declared country of residence decides which supplement applies to you, whatever edition you are browsing. Change it in Settings › Account preferences › Country of residence.

1. Who this supplement is for

This supplement applies to you if you told us you live in Canada. Visiting another edition, or travelling, does not change it: the rules follow your residence, not your IP address, and we never redirect you by location.

For review by lawyer: confirm the residence rule for Canada (EDPB Guidelines 3/2018 for the EU; the national equivalent elsewhere).

2. Your privacy rights

Your complaint route is Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We answer requests to access, correct, delete or export your data within 30 days.

Your data is processed in the United States. The transfer notices for Canada are in the Privacy Policy.

For review by lawyer: insert the representative’s name and address, the transfer mechanism and the DPA link for Canada.

3. Cookies, visit measurement and marketing

First-party visit measurement runs with notice, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings › Data privacy › How we measure visits. We use no third-party advertising pixels or session replay.

We send marketing messages only with your consent, and we honour an unsubscribe within the time your law sets (five business days in Australia, five working days in New Zealand, ten business days in Canada).

EaglesEntry is for people aged 18 and over. For completeness: the digital consent age in Canada is 13.

4. Applying, recruiters and paid features

You apply on the employer’s own site. EaglesEntry does not take applications from members in your country yet, because that could make us an employment agency under your law.

Employers cannot post jobs located in your country on EaglesEntry: that needs a licence or registration we do not hold.

No AI-generated pitch of yours reaches a recruiter, and you are not shown in Candidate Discovery, because your country keeps recruiter-side AI off.

Searching, saving and applying are free. Any paid product for job seekers would be a separate tools product, never a fee linked to a job.

For review by lawyer: confirm the employment-agency position for Canada before any in-platform feature opens there.

5. Job postings in Canada

Pay ranges are required where the law requires them and shown as the employer posted them elsewhere. Experience is shown as the employer stated it.

Notice languages for Canada: en, fr. English pages are served until the translated pages ship.

6. Canada specifics

  • Ontario: our Fraudulent Job Postings policy applies to every posting on the Canadian edition; report one from any job page (Employment Standards Act s.8.7).
  • Alberta residents: EaglesEntry is a service provider outside Canada; your personal information is processed in the United States under contract (PIPA s.13.1 notice).
  • Québec: French pages and French terms are coming before the Québec edition opens (Charter of the French Language). Until then this English edition serves Québec residents.
  • Commercial email follows CASL: express or implied consent, sender identification and an unsubscribe honoured within ten business days.

For review by lawyer: every line above is a draft from legal-research/country-editions; confirm each statute reference before publishing.
