How to tell us that content on EaglesEntry infringes a copyright, how a poster can respond, and our repeat-infringer rule (17 U.S.C. §512).

1. Designated agent

Send notices of claimed infringement to our designated agent through the report form (choose “Something else illegal” and say “copyright”) or by post to the address in the User Agreement.

For review by lawyer: register the designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and insert the agent’s name, address, phone and email here.

2. What a notice must contain

  • The work you say is infringed, and where on EaglesEntry the infringing material is (a link).
  • Your name, address, phone and email.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Counter-notice and repeat infringers

If your content was removed, you may send a counter-notice with the same identifying details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address. We restore the content in 10 to 14 business days unless the claimant sues.

We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
